Best Buy owners praise quiet operation and gaming at high settings; a few say EXPO must be enabled in the BIOS for memory to reach its rated speed.

The Aegis ZS2 C9NVV-1277US is MSI's prebuilt gaming desktop with a 12-core Ryzen 9 9900X, a desktop RTX 5080, 64 GB of DDR5, a 2 TB NVMe SSD, a 360 mm liquid cooler and an 850 W 80 Plus Gold power supply. It has Wi-Fi 6E and 1 Gbit Ethernet, but no Thunderbolt or USB4 port. Owners praise the cooling and cable routing and note that the motherboard is limited in expansion and layout.

The Crosshair 16 HX AI D2XWGKG-211US is the US RTX 5070 Laptop GPU version of MSI’s mid-range gaming laptop: a Core Ultra 7 255HX, a 240 Hz QHD+ IPS-level display, 32 GB of DDR5 in two slots and two M.2 slots, one of them PCIe 5.0. The GPU can reach 115 W with Dynamic Boost. On Notebookcheck’s Core Ultra 9 sample, the display was bright and free of PWM; the single USB-C port, 8 GB of video memory and hot exhaust air were criticised.

It has a Core i7-14650HX, an 8 GB GDDR7 GPU that reaches 115 W with Dynamic Boost, a 144 Hz Full HD IPS-level display, 16 GB of DDR5 in two slots and a 512 GB NVMe SSD; the USB-C port supports DisplayPort and 100 W charging. An independent review found gaming performance strong for the price even at 1440p, and criticised fan noise, the plastic chassis and short battery life while gaming.
