Wi-Fi 6E

Wi-Fi 6 extended into the 6 GHz band.

The Wi-Fi Alliance announced Wi-Fi 6E certification on 7 January 2021. Wi-Fi 6E carries the features of Wi-Fi CERTIFIED 6 (OFDMA, target wake time and MU-MIMO) into the 6 GHz band.

According to the Alliance, the 6 GHz band provides up to seven super-wide 160 MHz channels and certified devices use WPA3 security in that band. Use of 6 GHz for Wi-Fi is regulated by country; the Alliance describes it as a band being opened country by country.
