X-Trans CMOS 5 HR

Fujifilm’s 40.2 MP back-illuminated APS-C image sensor.

Fujifilm describes the X-Trans CMOS 5 HR as a 23.5 × 15.7 mm APS-C, back-side illuminated (BSI) sensor with about 40.2 megapixels. The high pixel count means more detail and more room to crop within the same frame.

The sensor works with the X-Processor 5 image processor. In the X-T5 it provides a standard stills range of ISO 125–12800, video recording up to 6.2K 29.97p and 6.2K RAW output over HDMI.

The name describes the sensor type; shutter speeds, burst rates and video crop depend on the camera itself, so read each camera’s documentation even when models share this sensor.
