Exynos 2500

Samsung's ten-core mobile processor made on a 3 nm GAA process.

Samsung Semiconductor describes the Exynos 2500 as a mobile processor made on a 3 nm GAA process that combines CPU, NPU and GPU on one chip. It uses Arm Cortex-X925 cores in a ten-core 1+7+2 layout; Samsung says big-core performance is up 15% over its predecessor.

The graphics side is a customised 4th-generation Xclipse 950 GPU based on the RDNA 3 architecture developed with AMD, and it supports hardware-accelerated ray tracing. The NPU can reach up to 59 trillion operations per second (TOPS); Samsung gives this as a 39% improvement over its predecessor.

The chip's modem supports 3GPP Rel. 17 5G NR and satellite-based (NTN) connectivity, and camera support goes up to 320 MP sensors. These are the chip maker's own claims. Real speed, heat and battery effect in a phone also depend on the device's cooling, software and power limits.
