NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU

NVIDIA’s entry-level Ada Lovelace laptop graphics chip with 6 GB of GDDR6 memory.

According to NVIDIA’s laptop comparison table, the RTX 4050 Laptop GPU has 2,560 CUDA cores, 6 GB of GDDR6 on a 96-bit interface and a boost clock range of 1605–2370 MHz. It is rated at 194 AI TOPS.

GPU subsystem power is set by the laptop maker between 35 W and 115 W. Two laptops with the same GPU name can perform quite differently in games depending on this power limit and cooling, so read the TGP in the model documentation as well.

The chip supports DLSS 3 (Super Resolution and Frame Generation), third-generation ray tracing and fourth-generation Tensor cores, and has an eighth-generation NVENC encoder. There is no desktop card called RTX 4050.

ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607NUG-BH73-CB (Ryzen 7 7445HS, RTX 4050)

The TUF Gaming A16 FA607NUG is an entry-level 16-inch gaming laptop. It pairs the six-core Ryzen 7 7445HS with an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU that can draw up to 140 W, on a 1920 × 1200, 144 Hz display. Two SO-DIMM memory slots and two M.2 slots let you add RAM and storage later, although ASUS says the second SSD slot runs at restricted bandwidth with this processor. The 56 Wh battery is smaller than the 90 Wh pack in the family’s larger model.
