NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU

NVIDIA’s Blackwell-architecture laptop GPU with 4,608 CUDA cores and 128-bit GDDR7 memory.

According to NVIDIA’s comparison page, the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU has 4,608 CUDA cores, 798 AI TOPS and a 128-bit GDDR7 memory interface. Boost clock ranges from 1425 to 2347 MHz and GPU subsystem power from 50 to 100 W; the laptop maker picks a point in this range and can add headroom with Dynamic Boost. That is why two laptops with the same GPU name can perform differently.

It supports DLSS and DisplayPort 2.1b/HDMI 2.1b outputs; whether those outputs are available depends on the laptop maker’s port design. The desktop RTX 5070 is a separate graphics card; sharing the model name does not mean the same core count or performance. The RTX 5070 Ti Laptop GPU is a tier above, with a 192-bit memory interface.

MSI Crosshair 16 HX AI D2XWGKG-211US

The Crosshair 16 HX AI D2XWGKG-211US is the US RTX 5070 Laptop GPU version of MSI’s mid-range gaming laptop: a Core Ultra 7 255HX, a 240 Hz QHD+ IPS-level display, 32 GB of DDR5 in two slots and two M.2 slots, one of them PCIe 5.0. The GPU can reach 115 W with Dynamic Boost. On Notebookcheck’s Core Ultra 9 sample, the display was bright and free of PWM; the single USB-C port, 8 GB of video memory and hot exhaust air were criticised.
