Apple A18 Pro

A chip Apple builds on second-generation 3 nm technology for its 2024 Pro iPhones, with a 6-core CPU and a 6-core GPU.

Apple says A18 Pro has a 6-core CPU with two performance and four efficiency cores, a 6-core GPU and a 16-core Neural Engine. It runs the same workload 15% faster with 20% less power than the previous generation; the GPU is up to 20% faster and hardware-accelerated ray tracing up to 2× faster. Total system memory bandwidth is up 17%.

The chip also enables the Pro models’ USB-C port to run at USB 3 speeds (up to 10 Gb/s) and ProRes video recording. Apple Intelligence features use this chip’s Neural Engine as well.
