MSI Aegis ZS2 A9NVP-1407US

The Aegis ZS2 A9NVP-1407US is the Ryzen 9 9900X and desktop RTX 5070 version of MSI’s prebuilt gaming desktop. It comes with 32 GB of DDR5, a 2 TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, a 360 mm liquid cooler, a 750 W 80 Plus Gold power supply and Wi-Fi 6E; because the parts are standard, the graphics card, memory and storage can be upgraded. Best Buy owners praise quiet operation and gaming at high settings; a few say EXPO must be enabled in the BIOS for memory to reach its rated speed.

A9NVP-1407US (US): Ryzen 9 9900X, desktop RTX 5070, 32 GB DDR5, 2 TB. The RTX 5080 C9NVV-1277US and other Aegis ZS2 SKUs in the same case are separate configurations.

Specifications

SpecificationValue
ProcessorAMD Ryzen 9 9900X; AMD B650 chipset

The Ryzen 9 9900X is a 12-core desktop processor; the B650 chipset on the AM5 platform leaves room for later CPU upgrades.

GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 (desktop)

The desktop RTX 5070 is a different, higher-power card than the laptop GPU of the same name. As a standard PCIe card it can be replaced later.

Memory32 GB DDR5

The MSI sheet does not give memory speed or module count. Owner reviews say memory may run at a lower speed out of the box and reaches its rated speed once the EXPO profile is enabled in the BIOS.

Storage2 TB M.2 NVMe Gen4 SSD
Cooling360 mm liquid cooler

A closed-loop liquid cooler with a 360 mm radiator helps the 12-core CPU run under sustained load at lower temperatures and fan speeds.

Power supply750 W, 80 Plus Gold

80 Plus Gold is a certification showing the power supply runs at roughly 87–90% efficiency at typical loads.
