Samsung says the S26 family's camera and Galaxy AI features come in a slim, light body, that the 4,900 mAh battery can reach 69% in 30 minutes on 45 W charging, and that it provides seven years of updates. Samsung Newsroom
In GSMArena's measurement the display reached 1,268 nits in auto mode on a 75% white window and 1,850 nits on a 10% window. The team found it very close to the S25 FE: usable outdoors but not the brightest in its class. The panel only switches between 60 and 120 Hz and is not LTPO.
GSMArena: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewGSMArena measured 40% in 15 minutes, 69% in 30 minutes and 1 hour 8 minutes from empty to full with a 45 W USB PD charger. The team writes that charging is slightly faster than its predecessor but still takes about an hour.
GSMArena: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewTechRadar measured 43% in 15 minutes and 100% in 58 minutes with a third-party charger. It did not re-measure Samsung's 69%-in-30-minutes claim in this test.
TechRadar: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewIn prolonged stress testing GSMArena reports the Exynos 2500 dropping to 62-68% of peak performance, and finds thermal behaviour better than the S25 FE. It describes the surface temperature as 'not pleasant but manageable' and calls the test harsher than everyday use.
GSMArena: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewBeebom writes that over a week of use the phone warms up in long gaming sessions and goes from warm to 'toasty' after an hour, and it saw the same warming while taking camera samples, but the device did not throttle. Tech Advisor also says the phone gets warm but never becomes uncomfortable to hold.
Beebom: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewGSMArena and Tech Advisor report that the USB port is down to USB 2.0 and that wired DisplayPort output and wired DeX are gone, while wireless DeX remains. Samsung's technical table also lists USB 2.0. It can limit people who want to connect the phone to a monitor by cable.
GSMArena: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewTechRadar writes that over two weeks a typical day used about 40% of the battery and that regular use could last two days. Tech Advisor says it lasts a desk-bound day, needed a charger on heavier days, and measured 12 hours 23 minutes in the PCMark battery test.
Tech Advisor: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewTechRadar scored 2,361 single-core and 7,831 multi-core in Geekbench 6 and 10,526 in 3DMark Solar Bay, and finds gaming performance good. The same review says 8 GB of RAM limits multitasking and demanding apps.
TechRadar: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewTechRadar says the main and front cameras give good photos while the ultrawide and telephoto cameras lag behind, finding telephoto shots darker and flatter than the 2x in-sensor zoom from the main camera.
TechRadar: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewTech Advisor writes that on the 128 GB unit, installing a couple of favourite games nearly filled the storage. This may not apply to the 256 GB version in this entry; there is also no card slot for later expansion.
Tech Advisor: Samsung Galaxy S26 FE reviewRedwitch says they bought the phone a week earlier and likes that the camera takes good pictures with plenty of editing effects, and that the battery does not need charging all the time.
Samsung UK: Galaxy S26 FE customer reviewsLatte4us says they bought it for hours of daily video calls, and in long heavy use it did not get hot or lag, with the battery and large display comfortable for multitasking.
