Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy

A 3 nm version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite tuned with higher clocks for the Samsung Galaxy S25 series.

Samsung used the chip worldwide in the Galaxy S25 series and quoted 40% NPU, 37% CPU and 30% GPU gains over the previous generation. Independent spec databases list two prime cores up to 4.47 GHz and six performance cores at 3.53 GHz, an Adreno 830 GPU and TSMC’s 3 nm (N3E) process.

Compared with the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite, the prime cores, GPU and NPU run at slightly higher clocks. Real-world performance depends on the phone’s cooling and the selected performance profile.

Samsung Galaxy Z Fold7

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is Samsung’s 2025 book-style foldable: an 8.0-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X screen when open and a 6.5-inch one when closed, 8.9 mm thick folded, 4.2 mm unfolded and 215 g. It uses the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a 200 MP main camera and a 4,400 mAh dual battery; it is rated IP48 and has no S Pen support. In a durability test the hinge and frame survived bending, while the inner screen proved soft enough to scratch with a fingernail. Owners praise the thin body and large screen; the missing S Pen and battery capacity are the most common criticisms.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is Samsung's thin flagship, standing out at 5.8 mm and 163 g. It has a 6.7-inch QHD+ 120 Hz screen, the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy, a 200 MP main camera and a titanium frame, but no telephoto. To stay thin, the battery drops to 3,900 mAh and wired charging to 25 W. Tests find its battery the shortest in the S25 range; owners love its light weight and screen.

Samsung's 2025 flagship. It combines a 6.9-inch QHD+ AMOLED behind reflection-reducing Gorilla Armor 2, a titanium frame, a 200 MP main camera and two telephotos (3× and 5×) with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. Samsung promises seven years of updates. Long-term reports praise the camera and battery; PWM flicker, the fingerprint reader and the S Pen's lost Bluetooth draw criticism.
