Exynos W1000

Samsung’s 5-core wearable processor for smartwatches, made on a 3 nm process.

According to Samsung Semiconductor, the Exynos W1000 is built on a 3 nm process specialised for wearables and has five cores in a big.LITTLE layout. Samsung says app launch times are up to 2.7 times faster than the previous generation and that a separate Always-On Display engine was added for low-power watch faces.

It uses Fan-Out Panel Level Packaging (FOPLP) to reduce package height, and ePoP, which stacks the processor, power management chip and memory (DRAM and eMMC) in one package. The chip received a CES 2025 Innovation Award.

Samsung Galaxy Watch8 Classic (46 mm, Bluetooth)

The Galaxy Watch8 Classic is Samsung's Wear OS watch that brings back the classic rotating-bezel design: a 1.34-inch Super AMOLED screen, sapphire crystal glass, the 3 nm Exynos W1000, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage. It has a programmable Quick Button, dual-frequency GPS and 5ATM/IP68/MIL-STD-810H durability. Reviews like the rotating bezel and bright screen and find the bulky case and battery life limiting.
