AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D

AMD’s 8-core AM5 desktop processor with 96 MB of L3 cache through 3D V-Cache.

The Ryzen 7 7800X3D has 8 cores and 16 threads with a 4.2 GHz base and up to 5 GHz boost clock. Part of its 8 MB L2 and 96 MB L3 cache comes from a 3D V-Cache layer stacked on the core die.

Default TDP is 120 W, it uses the AM5 socket and launched on 6 April 2023. The cores are made on TSMC 5 nm and the I/O die on 6 nm. Dual-channel DDR5 support is DDR5-5200 with two modules and DDR5-3600 with four; it offers PCIe 5.0.

It has two-core integrated Radeon graphics for basic display duties; gaming systems pair it with a discrete graphics card. No cooler is included and AMD recommends liquid cooling. The newer Ryzen 7 9800X3D is a separate processor.

Lenovo Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 (30L AMD, RTX 5070)

The Legion Tower 5 Gen 10 is Lenovo’s 30-litre prebuilt gaming desktop; this configuration has the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, a desktop GeForce RTX 5070 12 GB, 32 GB of DDR5 and a 1 TB SSD. It offers a B650 board, three M.2 slots, 2.5 GbE and optional Wi-Fi 7.
