AMD’s eight-core Zen 4 laptop processor from the Ryzen 8000 series, codenamed Hawk Point.

According to AMD, the Ryzen 7 8845HS has eight cores and 16 threads, a 3.8 GHz base clock and up to 5.1 GHz single-core boost, with 8 MB L2 and 16 MB L3 cache, built on TSMC 4 nm. It launched on 6 December 2023.

Default TDP is 45 W, and laptop makers can set it between 35 and 54 W, so the same chip can sustain different performance in different chassis. The built-in NPU delivers up to 16 TOPS, and the whole processor up to 38 TOPS of AI performance.

The 12-core Radeon 780M integrated graphics runs at up to 2700 MHz and drives up to four displays via DisplayPort 2.1 and HDMI 2.1. It supports DDR5-5600 or LPDDR5x-7500 memory, PCIe 4.0 and up to two native USB4 (40 Gbit/s) controllers; whether a laptop exposes a USB4 port depends on its design.
