Intel Core Ultra 9 285H

A 16-core laptop processor from Intel’s Arrow Lake generation with 45 W base power.

According to Intel, the Core Ultra 9 285H has six performance cores, eight efficient cores and two low-power efficient cores; it has no Hyper-Threading, so its 16 cores run 16 threads. The performance cores reach 5.4 GHz, and there is 24 MB of cache. Base power is 45 W and maximum turbo power 115 W.

The processor includes Intel Arc 140T integrated graphics with 8 Xe-cores and an NPU rated at 13 TOPS; Intel gives the platform’s total AI performance as 99 TOPS. It supports LPDDR5X-8400 or DDR5-6400 memory, PCIe 5.0 and Thunderbolt 4. Unlike HX-series processors, it is in a lower power class designed for thin laptops.

ASUS ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) GU605CX

The ROG Zephyrus G16 (2025) GU605CX is the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU version of ASUS’s thin 16-inch gaming laptop: a Core Ultra 9 285H processor, a 240 Hz 2.5K OLED display, 64 GB of LPDDR5X soldered to the board and a weight of 1.95 kg. The GPU runs at up to 120 W, and Notebookcheck measured that this keeps the RTX 5090 below its performance in thicker laptops. Owners praise the display and portability; heat, fan noise under load and memory that cannot be upgraded are the most common criticisms.
