Sony α7 IV (ILCE-7M4)
The α7 IV is Sony’s 33 MP full-frame mirrorless camera aimed at both stills and video. It offers the BIONZ XR processor, 759-point phase-detection AF with human, animal and bird eye tracking, 5.5-stop sensor-shift stabilisation, a vari-angle touchscreen and CFexpress Type A and UHS-II SD slots, and records 4K 60p in 10-bit 4:2:2. Independent testing highlighted that full-width 4K is oversampled from 7K and very detailed, while 4K 60p uses a 1.5× crop; 10 fps bursts are only available with lossy compressed RAW. Owners praise image quality and autofocus; the menus take time to learn.
