Lian Li O11 Air Mini

The O11 Air Mini is Lian Li’s compact dual-chamber case designed with der8auer around airflow. The front, top and side panels are mesh, and two 140 mm and one 120 mm PWM fans come installed. Despite the small body it takes an E-ATX (up to 280 mm) motherboard, a 362 mm graphics card and a full-size ATX power supply; its cube-like deep body takes up unusual desk space.

The mesh pattern on the front, top and side is designed to let fans draw air straight from outside.

With the vertical GPU bracket in top mode, two 120 mm fans can be fitted under the card; in bottom mode there is no room for them.

PWM fans adjust their speed to temperature using a signal from the motherboard.

When fitting a 240 mm radiator at the top with an ATX board, an offset bracket is used to avoid clashing with memory modules.

Strengths and limitations

  • According to KitGuru, the design with input from der8auer works well: a Core i9-11900K + RTX 3080 system drawing 580 W at the wall stayed under control even with a single 280 mm radiator; the RTX 3080 ran cool and the processor measured 85–90 °C. The dual-chamber layout makes cable management and adding storage easy, and the empty case floor leaves room for a second radiator. With a Micro-ATX board the top opens up further for cooling. The one clear issue is that the unusual shape can make it hard to find desk space.
