LG UltraGear 27GP750-B

The 27GP750-B is LG’s 2021 27-inch IPS monitor focused on high refresh rates for competitive gaming. It offers 1920 × 1080 resolution, 240 Hz and 1 ms (GtG) response time, G-SYNC Compatible and FreeSync Premium support, and a stand with height, tilt and pivot adjustment. Full HD at 27 inches means low pixel density. Owner reviews praise the smoothness and colours; the most serious criticism is monitors that stop turning on after one to several years.

Owner experiences and issues

  • Most of the 196 reviews on Best Buy Canada are positive; the smoothness of 240 Hz, the colours, the thin bezels and value for money are the most praised points. The most serious and most repeated criticism is failure: eleven owners say the monitor suddenly stopped turning on between 8 months and 3–4 years, some just after the warranty ended; one owner says a main board replacement cost more than the monitor, another says both HDMI inputs stopped working, and another had it fail again after repair. Several owners report dead pixels in the first weeks. Isolated complaints include weak HDR, an awkward joystick menu button and a recessed VESA mount that does not fit some arms.
