The bottom panel opens without tools, giving direct access to RAM, SSD and fans. This SKU ships with a single 16 GB memory module, leaving the second slot free. Wi-Fi 7, Thunderbolt 4 and a 90 Wh battery are shared across the G615 family.

ASUS TUF Gaming A16 FA607NUG-BH73-CB (Ryzen 7 7445HS, RTX 4050)

The TUF Gaming A16 FA607NUG is an entry-level 16-inch gaming laptop. It pairs the six-core Ryzen 7 7445HS with an RTX 4050 Laptop GPU that can draw up to 140 W, on a 1920 × 1200, 144 Hz display. Two SO-DIMM memory slots and two M.2 slots let you add RAM and storage later, although ASUS says the second SSD slot runs at restricted bandwidth with this processor. The 56 Wh battery is smaller than the 90 Wh pack in the family’s larger model.

The TUF Gaming F16 FX607JV is ASUS’s 2024 mid-range gaming laptop. It pairs the 14-core Core i7-13650HX with an RTX 4060 Laptop GPU drawing up to 130 W, and has a MUX switch with Advanced Optimus, two SO-DIMM and two M.2 slots, Thunderbolt 4 and a 90 Wh battery. Testing liked the audio, keyboard and upgrade room; the display’s brightness and colour coverage were modest, and battery life and cooling headroom were found limited.

Independent testing saw the CPU go above 90 °C in games while the touch surfaces stayed cool.

Independent testing counted the keyboard and touchpad among the best in its class; the CPU reached about 95 °C in Turbo.
