This configuration also includes the Intel AI Boost NPU rated at up to 13 TOPS; the NPU is designed to run AI tasks at lower power than the graphics card.

The chip also includes an Intel AI Boost NPU, a block set aside for running AI tasks at low power.

TGP is the power limit the graphics chip can use in this laptop; the same GPU runs slower in lower-powered chassis. The graphics chip is soldered and cannot be replaced. Lenovo also offers the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU in this chassis at 115 W.

The RTX 5080 Laptop GPU is not the same product as the desktop RTX 5080 card; its power limit and cooling conditions differ.

165 Hz means the panel can show up to 165 frames per second; G-SYNC matches the refresh to the GPU’s frame rate to reduce tearing. 1100 nits is a peak value for small areas in HDR content; everyday SDR brightness is 500 nits. The panel is factory-calibrated with X-Rite and is not a touchscreen.

MSI describes the panel as "IPS-level", which does not necessarily mean it is an IPS panel. 240 Hz makes motion smoother in fast games, provided the game produces high frame rates.

Memory is not soldered. The highest capacity Lenovo has tested for this platform is 32 GB; both slots are filled from the factory, so an upgrade means replacing the modules.

The MSI USA table lists the installed modules as DDR5-5600; the 6400 in the spec sheet is the top speed the platform supports. The slots take replaceable modules.

The slots are 2280-length, so a second SSD can be added. PCIe 4.0 x4 offers a theoretical 8 GB/s of bandwidth; actual speed depends on the installed SSD.

MSI says storage upgrades should go through a service centre. The Gen5 slot can give higher sequential speeds than Gen4 with a compatible SSD.

Up to 3 external displays are supported alongside the built-in panel: HDMI up to 8K 60 Hz, USB-C up to 4K 60 Hz. Both USB-C ports accept 95–100 W USB-PD charging; Lenovo’s 140 W USB-C protocol works only with its own adapter. There is no wired Ethernet.

The wireless card sits in an M.2 slot and is not soldered.

Some SKUs in the same family use Wi-Fi 6E AX211 and Bluetooth 5.3; this configuration ships with the Wi-Fi 7 card.

Lenovo rates battery life at 3.98 hours in MobileMark 30 and 7.18 hours in local 1080p video playback. Rapid Charge Pro charges to about 50% in 30 minutes.

This model has a bilingual French/English keyboard layout.

There is no fingerprint reader; the IR camera is used for sign-in.

The weight does not include the 245 W adapter.

The A2XWIG letters mark the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU configuration; RTX 5070, 5070 Ti and 5090 versions of the same chassis are sold under other codes. Memory, SSD and Wi-Fi card vary by SKU number.

MSI notes the figure may vary by scenario. 175 W is the upper limit NVIDIA allows for the RTX 5080 Laptop GPU; the card draws less in lower power modes and on battery.

The Thunderbolt 5 ports carry data, an external display and charging over one cable with compatible devices. The laptop reaches full performance on its 330 W adapter; USB-C charging runs at lower power.

The USB 3.2 Gen 2 ports transfer up to 10 Gbit/s. HDMI 2.1 can drive a 4K TV or monitor at 120 Hz.

The infrared camera enables Windows Hello face sign-in.
