ProcessorAMD Ryzen 9 8945HS (8 cores / 16 threads, 4.0 GHz, up to 5.2 GHz, 24 MB cache, 16 TOPS XDNA NPU)

24 MB is 8 MB of L2 plus 16 MB of L3 cache. The processor’s integrated Radeon 780M graphics handles light work when Advanced Optimus is active.

ASUS
AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS: 8 cores, 16 threads, 3.8 GHz, up to 5.1 GHz, 24 MB cache; AMD XDNA NPU up to 16 TOPS

The NPU is a dedicated unit for running some Windows AI features without loading the CPU or GPU. ASUS also sells this chassis in Ryzen 9 8945H SKUs.

ASUS
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU; 8 GB GDDR6; ROG Boost 1655 MHz; 90 W (65 W TGP + 25 W Dynamic Boost)

1655 MHz is the 1605 MHz boost clock plus a 50 MHz ASUS overclock. The 90 W ceiling is lower than RTX 4070 configurations in large 16–18-inch laptops and was chosen for the thin chassis. The GPU cannot be upgraded.

ASUS
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 Laptop GPU, 8 GB GDDR6; 1940 MHz at 140 W (1890 MHz boost + 50 MHz OC; 115 W + 25 W Dynamic Boost)

140 W is the maximum GPU power when Dynamic Boost borrows budget from the CPU: 25 W is added to the sustained 115 W depending on load. This laptop GPU is not the same product as the desktop RTX 4060.

ASUS
GPU switchingMUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus

The MUX switch connects the internal display directly to the NVIDIA GPU; Advanced Optimus does this switch without a restart.

Display14-inch 3K OLED; 2880 × 1800 (16:10); 120 Hz; 0.2 ms; 100% DCI-P3; G-Sync and Adaptive-Sync; anti-glare low-reflection (AGLR) surface; Pantone Validated

Each OLED pixel makes its own light, so blacks are fully dark; leaving static images on screen for long periods raises the risk of image retention.

ASUS
15.6-inch Full HD (1920 × 1080) 16:9, anti-glare; 144 Hz; 100% sRGB, 72% NTSC, 75.35% Adobe; G-Sync

144 Hz shows motion smoothly when games reach up to 144 frames per second; G-Sync matches refresh to frame rate to reduce tearing. 100% sRGB suits web and game content; it is not a wide-gamut panel.

ASUS
Memory32 GB LPDDR5X-6400 on board; not expandable

Memory cannot be increased later, so the amount should be chosen at purchase.

ASUS
DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM, two slots, dual channel; up to 64 GB (2 × 8 GB or 2 × 16 GB depending on SKU)

The modules are not soldered; going higher means replacing the installed modules. ASUS says memory speed varies by CPU.

ASUS
Storage1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD; 1 × M.2 slot

There is a single M.2 slot, so more capacity means replacing the existing SSD with a larger one.

ASUS
512 GB or 1 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD (by SKU); two M.2 PCIe slots in total

ASUS notes that only single-sided SSDs fit the M.2 slot because of components on the motherboard.

ASUS
Ports1 × USB4 Type-C (DisplayPort, Power Delivery, 40 Gb/s); 1 × USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (DisplayPort); 2 × USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A; HDMI 2.1 FRL; microSD (UHS-II) card reader; 3.5 mm combo audio jack

There is no wired Ethernet port; independent testing listed this and the lack of Wi-Fi 7 as drawbacks.

ASUS
1 × USB4 Type-C (40 Gbit/s, DisplayPort), 1 × USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C (10 Gbit/s, DisplayPort / power delivery / G-SYNC), 2 × USB 3.2 Gen 1 Type-A (5 Gbit/s), 1 × HDMI 2.1 FRL, 1 × RJ45, 3.5 mm audio

The USB4 port provides 40 Gbit/s data and video out; G-SYNC is listed only for the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port. The RJ45 port does not support PoE.

Independent testing found the Enter and arrow keys small.

Battery and power73 Wh 4-cell lithium-ion battery; 180 W adapter; plus a 100 W USB-C adapter

On battery the GPU runs at a lower limit; full performance needs the 180 W adapter.

ASUS
90 Wh, 4-cell lithium-ion; 240 W adapter (20 V, 12 A, ø6.0 mm)

ASUS says the battery can reach 50% in 30 minutes with the proper adapter while the laptop is off. Whether the adapter is included varies by country; the USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C port also accepts power.

ASUS
Operating systemWindows 11 Pro ASUSWindows 11 Home

ASUS states the drivers are only compatible with Windows 11 24H2 or later.
