Release year20252025
ProcessorIntel Core Ultra 9 275HX (24 cores / 24 threads, up to 5.4 GHz, 36 MB cache, 13 TOPS NPU)

The cores are a mix of performance and efficiency cores; there is no Hyper-Threading, so core and thread counts are equal.

ASUS
Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX; 24 cores / 24 threads, 36 MB cache, up to 5.4 GHz GIGABYTE
GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU; 24 GB GDDR7; ROG Boost 1647 MHz; 175 W (150 W TGP + 25 W Dynamic Boost)

1647 MHz is the 1597 MHz boost clock plus a 50 MHz ASUS overclock. 175 W is the highest total graphics power; the 25 W Dynamic Boost share moves to the GPU when CPU load is low. The GPU is soldered and cannot be upgraded.

ASUS
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, 16 GB GDDR7; up to 175 W graphics power including Dynamic Boost; up to 1,902 MHz AI Boost clock (1,702 + 200 MHz OC)

175 W includes the share Dynamic Boost shifts to the GPU when CPU load is low; GIGABYTE notes the figure may vary by scenario. The desktop RTX 5080 is a different card.

GIGABYTE
GPU switchingMUX Switch and NVIDIA Advanced Optimus

The MUX switch connects the internal display directly to the NVIDIA GPU to reduce latency in games; Advanced Optimus does this switch without a restart.

Display18-inch ROG Nebula HDR Mini LED; 2560 × 1600 (16:10); 240 Hz; 100% DCI-P3; G-Sync; anti-glare low-reflection (AGLR) surface; Pantone Validated

The Mini LED backlight dims in many small zones independently, which keeps dark areas dark in HDR content; it is not as precise as pixel-level OLED control.

ASUS
16-inch 16:10 OLED, 2560 × 1600 (WQXGA), 240 Hz, 1 ms; 100% DCI-P3; 500 nits peak; 1,000,000:1 contrast; glossy surface

240 Hz shows motion more clearly in fast games and puts the RTX 5080’s high frame rates on screen; 500 nits is an HDR peak, not sustained full-screen brightness.

GIGABYTE
Memory64 GB (2 × 32 GB) DDR5-5600 SO-DIMM; 2 slots; up to 64 GB

Both slots are filled in this variant and ASUS’s stated maximum is already reached; an upgrade means replacing the modules.

ASUS
DDR5-5600; two SO-DIMM slots, up to 64 GB

Memory is not soldered. The BYHC5USE64SH ships with 2 × 16 GB, so both slots are filled and upgrading means swapping modules.

GIGABYTE
Storage2 TB + 2 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe M.2 SSD, RAID 0; 2 × M.2 slots

RAID 0 combines the two drives into one fast volume; if either drive fails all data can be lost, so regular backups matter. ASUS states that only single-sided SSDs are supported.

ASUS
PCIe NVMe M.2; one PCIe Gen5 and one PCIe Gen4 x4 M.2 slot, up to 4 TB

A second SSD can be added. The Gen5 slot gives higher sequential speeds with a compatible Gen5 SSD; which slot the factory SSD uses can vary by configuration.

GIGABYTE
Ports2 × Thunderbolt 5 (USB-C; DisplayPort, Power Delivery, G-SYNC); 3 × USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A; HDMI 2.1 FRL; 2.5G LAN; 3.5 mm combo audio jack

Thunderbolt 5 can offer up to 120 Gb/s in one direction, useful for fast external storage and high-resolution monitors. Independent testing criticised the lack of rear ports.

WirelessWi-Fi 7 (802.11be, tri-band, 2 × 2); Bluetooth 5.4

A compatible router is needed to benefit from Wi-Fi 7 speeds.

Audio4 speakers; Dolby Atmos; Hi-Res audio; AI noise cancelation ASUS—
Battery and power90 Wh 4-cell lithium-ion battery; 380 W adapter; plus a 100 W USB-C adapter

The 380 W adapter is needed for gaming performance; the 100 W USB-C adapter is for light use and charging on the go. ASUS notes that box contents can vary by region.

Hybrid graphics—NVIDIA Advanced Optimus and G-SYNC

Advanced Optimus switches the display between integrated graphics and the RTX GPU without a reboot: a direct GPU path in games, battery savings in light work.

GIGABYTE
Display certifications—VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500, VESA ClearMR 10000, Dolby Vision, Pantone Validated, TÜV Rheinland Low Blue Light

True Black 500 certifies HDR peak brightness of 500 nits together with OLED’s deep blacks; ClearMR 10000 is a motion-clarity tier.

GIGABYTE
Left ports—DC-in; RJ-45 1 Gbit LAN; HDMI 2.1; USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2); USB-C Thunderbolt 5 (USB4, DisplayPort 2.1, Power Delivery 3.0)

The Thunderbolt 5 port suits high-bandwidth external SSDs, docks and DisplayPort 2.1 monitors; HDMI 2.1 supports high-refresh TVs and monitors.

GIGABYTE
Right ports—USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen 2); USB-C Thunderbolt 4 (USB4, DisplayPort 1.4, Power Delivery 3.0); microSD card reader (UHS-II); 3.5 mm headphone/mic combo

The two USB-C ports differ in speed and display version; for a high-resolution external display the left Thunderbolt 5 port is the better choice.

GIGABYTE
Audio and camera—Four 2 W speakers, Dolby Atmos, Smart Amp; 1080p IR camera, Windows Hello face login, array microphone GIGABYTE
Keyboard—3-zone RGB backlight, up to 1.7 mm key travel, N-key rollover

N-key rollover means every simultaneously pressed key is registered, avoiding missed inputs in games. Lighting is set in three zones, not per key.

GIGABYTE
Battery and adapter—99 Wh lithium-ion; 330 W AC adapter

99 Wh is close to the upper limit for laptop batteries allowed on planes. Full GPU power needs the 330 W adapter; USB-C charging via Power Delivery 3.0 is possible but performance is reduced.

GIGABYTE
Operating system and security—Windows 11 Home or Windows 11 Pro (by region); firmware TPM (Intel PTT) GIGABYTE
