Smartwatches · 2026 · Samsung
The Galaxy Watch Ultra2 is Samsung’s rugged smartwatch that went on sale in August 2026. It has a 47mm titanium case, a 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display reaching 5,000 nits, the Snapdragon Wear Elite, 64 GB of storage, an 800 mAh battery, dual-frequency GPS, LTE and Wear OS 7, plus 10 ATM, IP69K and MIL-STD-810H ratings and an 86 dB emergency siren. Battery life stands out in testing and owner reviews; slow charging, lagging heart-rate readings early in workouts and Android-only support are among its limits.

TechRadar wore the watch for five days and four nights; with the always-on display it lasted about 60 hours, matching Samsung’s figure. At the start of runs heart rate sometimes read about 20 bpm lower than an Apple Watch Ultra 3 and a Polar H10 chest strap, converging after about 15 minutes; a HIIT session showed the same warm-up lag. BIA measured 9% body fat against 19% on an industrial scale, and 16% on a later reading. The reviewer finds it comfortable all day and overnight but unsuitable for small wrists; routes cannot be created in the app, it does not work with iPhones and battery life trails Garmin.
TechRadar — Matt Evans: Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2 reviewBattery life is the most praised point in the visible Best Buy reviews: Luis gets about three and a half days and PATRICIAR about five; display brightness, low weight and the slimmer case compared with the first Ultra also come up often. RobertD and Bobby say charging is slow; RobertD adds that some health features need a Samsung phone and the watch is large for small wrists. Luis says the shiny case scratches a little, one review misses a rotating bezel, and Jared186807 found the interface hard at first after switching from an iPhone.
