Samsung's 2025 flagship. It combines a 6.9-inch QHD+ AMOLED behind reflection-reducing Gorilla Armor 2, a titanium frame, a 200 MP main camera and two telephotos (3× and 5×) with the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy. Samsung promises seven years of updates. Long-term reports praise the camera and battery; PWM flicker, the fingerprint reader and the S Pen's lost Bluetooth draw criticism.

Samsung says Gorilla Armor 2 sharply reduces reflections and survived 2.2 m drops in Corning tests, and that the new chip’s NPU is 40% faster. These are manufacturer claims. Samsung Newsroom
Over a year of use Android Central still found the camera, especially zoom, excellent, and the phone took One UI 8 without major problems. Negatives: no flicker-reduction mode for people sensitive to PWM dimming, an oleophobic coating that weakens after a few months, sharp edges that grate over time, and an ultrasonic fingerprint reader unreliable enough that the author turned it off.
Android Central: Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra one year laterIn 9to5Google's six months of use battery life was never a problem; the “Light” performance profile capped the CPU around 70–75% with no noticeable slowdown. The 3× camera was used most and photos stayed sharp to about 15×; shutter lag was criticised. The S Pen lost Bluetooth, so remote-control functions are gone; the author rarely used the pen and put a screen protector over the anti-reflective coating.
9to5Google: Galaxy S25 Ultra long-term reviewOn the Samsung Members India forum AditP wrote that a friend’s S25 Ultra showed a thin green line on the display after the April 2025 update. The reply marked “solved” only suggests a warranty service visit; no other owner on the visible page reports the same issue, and two users say their own phones are fine.
Samsung Members India: Green line issue on S25 Ultra after today’s updatePreviews of threads opened on Samsung US Community's Galaxy S25 board in October 2026 after the One UI 9 update include S25 Ultra owners reporting the phone getting too hot to hold (LoveBytes) and the camera not opening in any app. Most battery-drain complaints on the same board concern the S25 and S25+ and should not be applied to the Ultra.
