MicrophonesThree mics per earbud; voice accelerometer; wind-blocking mesh covers

The voice accelerometer picks up jaw vibration while you speak to help separate your voice from ambient noise. Google’s Clear Calling and Super Wideband calling require compatible Pixel phones.

Google
3 MEMS microphones per earbud (6 in total), beamforming noise reduction; 100 Hz–10 kHz Sennheiser
ConnectivityBluetooth 5.4 with Super Wideband; works with Bluetooth 4.0+ devices

Full features need an Android 6.0 or newer phone, a Google Account and an internet connection; basic listening works with an iPhone.

BatteryANC off 12 hours (48 hours with case); ANC on 8 hours (30 hours with case); 5 minutes charge gives 1.5 hours (ANC off)

Google’s blog footnote says figures were measured on pre-production hardware with other features disabled; real-world time may be shorter.

Google
Up to 7.5 hours per charge (ANC off) / up to 7 hours (ANC on); up to 30 hours total with the case; lithium-ion, 75 mAh per earbud, 820 mAh case

Times were measured with an iPhone at medium volume (85 dB). According to Sennheiser, 8 minutes of charging gives about 1 hour of playback; the battery protect mode in the app slows charging and slightly lowers maximum capacity to extend battery lifespan.

Sennheiser
Charging caseUSB-C and Qi-certified wireless charging; ringtone speaker for Find Hub; Hall effect sensor for open/close
