Fujifilm X100VI / Fujifilm X-H2S

Fujifilm X100VI: X100VI, silver or black body; compact camera with a fixed 23 mm lens. The X100V and special editions based on the X100VI are separate.

Fujifilm X-H2S: X-H2S body (2022). The X-H2 with the 40 MP X-Trans CMOS 5 HR sensor is a separate model; the XF16-80mm lens in the image is sold separately.

Sensor23.5 × 15.7 mm APS-C X-Trans CMOS 5 HR; 40.2 MP; X-Processor 5 Fujifilm23.5 × 15.6 mm (APS-C) X-Trans CMOS 5 HS; 26.16 million effective pixels; ultrasonic sensor cleaning

According to Fujifilm the stacked, back-illuminated design quadruples readout speed, which reduces rolling-shutter skew on moving subjects with the electronic shutter and in video.

Fujifilm
LensFixed 23 mm f/2 (35 mm equivalent); 8 elements in 6 groups, 2 aspherical; f/2–16; focusing down to about 10 cm

The lens cannot be changed.

ND filterBuilt-in 4-stop ND filter

The ND filter cuts light so a wide aperture or slow shutter can be used in bright conditions.

Fujifilm
—
Image stabilisationIn-body 5-axis; up to 6.0 stops

6 stops is the manufacturer’s figure under standard conditions; real results depend on hand shake and shutter speed.

Fujifilm
5-axis sensor-shift stabilisation, up to 7.0 stops (CIPA); digital stabilisation and IS Boost in video

The 7-stop rating is per CIPA, for pitch/yaw shake only and with the XF35mmF1.4 R lens.

Shutter and burstMechanical up to 1/4000 s, electronic up to 1/180,000 s; about 20 fps with electronic shutter (1.29× crop), 6 fps with mechanical shutter FujifilmMechanical to 1/8000 s, electronic to 1/32000 s; about 40 fps with the electronic shutter, 15 fps mechanical; Pre-shot; flash sync 1/250 s

At 40 fps about 175 compressed RAW frames are recorded; these figures were measured with a CFexpress Type B card. Pre-shot records frames while the shutter is half-pressed.

Fujifilm
AutofocusIntelligent Hybrid AF; subject detection for animals, birds, cars, motorcycles, airplanes and trains FujifilmIntelligent Hybrid AF (contrast + phase detection); phase detection down to −7.0 EV; face/eye plus animal, bird, car, motorcycle/bike, airplane and train detection

The −7.0 EV figure is with the XF50mmF1.0 attached; the limit changes with slower lenses.

Fujifilm
ViewfinderHybrid viewfinder: optical 0.52×, about 95% coverage; electronic 0.5-inch OLED, 3.69 million dots, 0.66×

Because the optical finder looks through a separate window rather than the lens, framing can shift at close range; the electronic finder shows the exact image.

ProRes is only recorded to a CFexpress Type B card. Open gate records the full 3:2 sensor area, so footage can later be cropped for horizontal and vertical formats. The optional FAN-001 cooling fan can be attached for long recordings in high temperatures.

Card and connectivitySingle SD card slot (UHS-I); USB-C 10 Gb/s; micro HDMI; Wi-Fi 802.11ac; Bluetooth 4.2 LE

The UHS-I slot also accepts faster UHS-II cards but runs them at UHS-I speed.

BatteryNP-W126S; about 310 frames (EVF) or 450 frames (OVF) in normal mode per CIPA

CIPA figures follow a standard test pattern; the number drops with stabilisation and video in use.

Fujifilm
NP-W235 lithium-ion; about 580 shots (720 in Economy mode); about 70 minutes of actual 4K 60p recording

Figures are per CIPA standard with the XF35mmF1.4 R.

Processor and mount—X-Processor 5; FUJIFILM X mount

Fujifilm says X-Processor 5 is twice as fast as the previous generation and enables deep-learning subject detection.

Fujifilm
Storage media—Dual slots: CFexpress Type B (up to 2 TB) and SD/SDHC/SDXC (UHS-I/UHS-II, V90)

Stills can be saved as JPEG, HEIF (4:2:2 10-bit) and 14-bit RAW.
