Samsung Galaxy Watch8 44 mm Bluetooth (SM-L330) / Apple Watch Series 7 (45 mm, GPS)

Always On Display keeps the watch face visible but shortens battery life; when off, the screen wakes on wrist raise.

The 41 mm case has 352 × 430 pixels and 904 mm² of display area. The LTPO panel lowers its refresh rate when the wrist is down so the screen can stay on.

Sapphire crystal resists scratches better than ordinary glass. The 8.6 mm thickness excludes the sensor bump on the back.

32 GB of storage is enough to keep music and apps on the watch for phone-free runs.

The watch charges only wirelessly; it must align with Samsung’s charging puck, and some wireless chargers may not sit flat because of the band.

Apple’s battery test was done in August 2021 with preproduction watches paired to an iPhone; actual life varies with use and settings. The fast-charge test used the A2515 cable and a 20 W USB-C adapter; the adapter is not in the box.

The electrical heart signal enables ECG and bioelectrical impedance enables body composition readings. ECG and blood pressure need a Samsung phone and country approval.

Antioxidant Index is measured by holding a fingertip on the sensor for about five seconds; Vascular Load needs the watch to be worn to sleep on at least 3 of the last 14 days. These are wellness indicators, not medical diagnoses.

The L5 band helps reduce route drift caused by reflections among tall buildings and trees.

On the Bluetooth model calls and notifications work while connected to the phone; NFC contactless payments depend on country and bank.

LTE/UMTS is only on GPS + Cellular models.

5ATM means water resistance suitable for swimming, not diving or high-speed water sports. MIL-STD-810H refers to selected environmental tests from the military standard and is no guarantee against impacts.

Suitable for shallow-water activities such as swimming in a pool or the sea; not for scuba diving, waterskiing or high-velocity water.

Gemini can act in Samsung Health, Calendar and Clock via voice; availability varies by device, language and country.

It cannot be used with an iPhone.

Per Apple’s launch documentation; some features are unavailable when the watch is set up through Family Setup.

Ultra Wideband availability varies by region.

Blood oxygen readings are not for medical use. The ECG app and irregular rhythm notification need the latest watchOS/iOS and are not intended for people under 22.

On the GPS model, Emergency SOS needs the iPhone nearby or a known Wi-Fi network with Wi-Fi Calling; international emergency calling is only on the GPS + Cellular model.

The 45 mm stainless steel case weighs 51.5 g and titanium 45.1 g.
