The Ryzen 9 9900X is a 12-core desktop processor; the B650 chipset on the AM5 platform leaves room for later CPU upgrades.

The desktop RTX 5070 is a different, higher-power card than the laptop GPU of the same name. As a standard PCIe card it can be replaced later.
