ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM

The ROG Swift OLED PG27UCDM is ASUS’s 26.5-inch 4K (3840 × 2160) 240 Hz QD-OLED gaming monitor: 0.03 ms response time, DisplayHDR 400 True Black, Dolby Vision, DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports and USB-C with 90 W power delivery. The high pixel density makes small text sharp; against burn-in there is ASUS OLED Care and a 3-year warranty that also covers burn-in. Owners praise the colour and contrast and mention purplish blacks in a sunny room and shipping with old firmware. In one firmware version DSC could not be turned off; this was fixed in the next version.

PG27UCDM; a single 26.5-inch 4K 240 Hz model. The larger PG32UCDM is a separate monitor.

Specifications

SpecificationValue
Panel26.5-inch QD-OLED, 16:9; 3840 × 2160 (4K); 0.153 mm pixel pitch

The small pixel pitch (about 166 ppi) makes text and interface edges look sharper than on 27-inch 1440p monitors.

Refresh rate and VRR240 Hz; 48–240 Hz variable refresh on HDMI and DP/USB-C inputs; FreeSync Premium Pro, G-SYNC Compatible, VESA AdaptiveSync Display 240Hz

All inputs support 240 Hz at 4K; variable refresh prevents tearing and stutter as the game frame rate moves between 48 and 240.

Response time0.03 ms (GtG)

Grey-to-grey transition time; because OLED pixels change much faster than LCD, motion blur depends mostly on the refresh rate.

Brightness and contrast1,000 cd/m² HDR peak; 1,500,000:1 typical contrast

1,000 cd/m² is a peak reached on a small area of the screen; a full white screen stays much lower. ASUS gives no typical SDR brightness value.

HDRVESA DisplayHDR 400 True Black; HDR10; Dolby Vision

The True Black tier measures OLED’s very low black level; 400 is the minimum peak brightness threshold in the certification test. Dolby Vision support lets compatible sources use scene-by-scene HDR data.

Colour99% DCI-P3, 145% sRGB; 10-bit (1.07 billion colours); ΔE < 2

ΔE < 2 means factory calibration deviates from target colours by an amount most people cannot see; a calibration report is included.

Inputs1 × DisplayPort 2.1; 2 × HDMI 2.1 (FRL); 1 × USB-C (DP Alt Mode, 90 W power delivery); headphone jack

USB-C takes video over a single cable and supplies up to 90 W to a laptop. The HDMI 2.1 inputs can be used for 4K 120 Hz on consoles.

USB and KVM3 × USB-A 5 Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1) hub; KVM switch

KVM moves the keyboard and mouse attached to the monitor between two computers when the input is switched.

SpeakersNone

A headphone jack or external speakers are needed for audio.

OLED protectionASUS OLED Care; Neo Proximity Sensor

OLED Care includes burn-in prevention functions such as pixel cleaning, screen shift, logo brightness adjustment and taskbar detection. The proximity sensor dims the screen when the user leaves, reducing static image time.

Power consumptionUnder 80 W in operation; under 0.5 W in standby, 0.3 W off
Stand and mountingTilt +20°/−5°, swivel ±30°, pivot ±90°, height 0–110 mm; VESA 100 × 100; 1/4-inch tripod socket

The tripod socket is used to mount accessories such as a camera or light on the stand.

Dimensions and weightWith stand 61.03 × 54.95 × 21.88 cm, 7.62 kg; without stand 61.03 × 36.92 × 7.05 cm, 4.97 kg

Warranty terms can vary by country.

Owner experiences and issues

  • On the ROG Forum, PG27UCDM owners reported that after moving from MCM103 to MCM104 firmware, DSC (Display Stream Compression) could not be turned off when running 4K 240 Hz HDR over DisplayPort 2.1 with an RTX 5090; one user reported screen flashing even after going back to MCM103. MCM105 release notes shared by a user say the issue “DSC could not be disabled under UHBR20” was fixed, and the thread is marked solved.

  • On PB Tech, the PG27UCDM averages 4.6 from 5 reviews. Owners praise the vivid colours, blacks, smooth motion and high-frame-rate 4K gaming; one says it is very similar to the PG32UCDM but adds DisplayPort 2.1. One buyer says blacks look slightly purple in a sunny room during the day and that no VESA screws were included; another says the monitor arrived with MCM101 firmware and advises care when applying the update from ASUS’s site.
