In Tom's Guide's web browsing test over cellular at a fixed brightness, the iPhone 17 Pro Max lasted 17 hours 54 minutes; the Galaxy S25 Ultra managed 14 hours 27 minutes in the same test. With a 40 W adapter it charged from empty to 35% in 15 minutes and 64% in 30 minutes.

Apple said the MagSafe marks were material transfer from worn store stands that comes off with cleaning, and that the plateau edges are as durable as other anodised aluminium Apple products but may show small abrasions over time. Apple did not treat it as a manufacturing defect.
