The Galaxy Watch5 Pro is Samsung’s outdoor-focused Wear OS watch from 2022. It has a titanium case, a raised bezel, a 1.4-inch Super AMOLED display under sapphire crystal and a 590 mAh battery; GPX route workouts and Track Back (return to the start) are exclusive to this model. In testing the battery lasted about three days with light-to-moderate use; most owners report two to three days, and some find the case large.
The Galaxy Watch5 Pro comes in one size (45 mm): SM-R920 (Bluetooth) and SM-R925 (LTE), in Black Titanium and Gray Titanium. The 40/44 mm Galaxy Watch5 is a separate model with a different battery, case material and display size.

TechRadar’s test watch lasted about 72 hours with light-to-moderate GPS use and constant automatic activity detection, close to Samsung’s 80-hour claim. For long hikes, rides or runs the reviewer estimated 40–50 hours, good for a Wear OS watch but well short of sports watches from Coros or Amazfit. Route workouts loaded from GPX files give haptic turn cues, and Track Back guides you back to the start; not being able to create routes inside Samsung Health was a drawback. The display is bright and smooth, the case is bulky and may feel large on smaller wrists.
TechRadar: Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Pro reviewIn owner reviews in the Best Buy Canada pool, battery is the most common topic: many owners report two to three days per charge and several about three days with sleep tracking on; two reviews dated 2025–2026 say they still get about three days with Always On Display off after several years. One owner said the battery is only adequate in power-saving mode, that the watch changed its face by itself, and that Samsung apps were pushed. Many owners say the titanium case and sapphire glass did not scratch; one said the black coating wore through on the rim to grey titanium.
Best Buy Canada: Samsung Galaxy Watch5 Pro 45 mm customer reviewsThere are separate band reports: one owner said the D-buckle band opens by itself when it catches on things, another that it flexes near the case when tightened, and another that the band broke within a week. One owner could not lay the watch flat on a generic wireless charger because of the band, and another had a skin reaction under the band and sensor. In Canada one owner could not activate the LTE model for standalone cellular use on the Rogers network, while it worked normally over Bluetooth.
