The TUF Gaming F15 (2023) is ASUS’s mid-range gaming laptop. In this SKU the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU draws up to 140 W including Dynamic Boost, the top of NVIDIA’s range for this chip. Two memory slots and two M.2 slots allow upgrades. Owners like the gaming performance; there are separate complaints about heat, fan noise and durability.

Owner experiences and issues

  • Owners most often praise how smoothly it runs games at high settings and its performance for the money. Heat and throttling under load, and fan noise increasing after about a year, are recurring complaints; one owner wrote that the fan rubbed its housing, and another found a loose fan blade. Individually reported problems include a Wi-Fi card failure, the touchpad stopping working (two people), a loosening hinge (two people), crashes and freezes (three people), an SSD that failed within three weeks, image glitches with DLSS on and a fragile charger. Two people also listed the lack of an SD card slot and of Windows Hello face recognition or fingerprint as negatives. These reports do not indicate a failure rate.
