HP OMEN 35L (GT16-1002na) / MSI MPG Infinite X3 AI 2NVR7-641EU

The OMEN 35L is sold with different processor, GPU, memory and cooling options; this entry is the Ryzen 9 9900X3D + RTX 5080 configuration.

Part of the 128 MB L3 comes from second-generation 3D V-Cache; the large cache reduces trips to memory, which helps especially in games. AMD rates default TDP at 120 W.

The KF version has no integrated graphics, so the monitor always connects to the graphics card. The unlocked chip allows overclocking on the Z890 chipset.

Slots other than the graphics slot are for add-in cards such as sound, network or capture cards; a wide graphics card can cover some of them.

This is the desktop RTX 5080. HP does not state the card's maker or model.

HP notes the memory may run at 5600 MT/s by default with Ryzen 9000 and that 6000 MT/s requires enabling the EXPO profile in BIOS.

The MSI datasheet gives memory speed as up to 5600 MHz.

The desktop card runs at a higher power limit than the laptop GPU of the same name. The case takes graphics cards up to 400 mm long, leaving room for a longer card later.

Using the 5 GbE speed requires the router or switch on the network to support 5 GbE or faster as well.
