The Galaxy Buds3 are Samsung’s 2024 open-type stem earbuds. They offer an 11 mm driver, active noise cancelling despite the open design, Bluetooth 5.4, 24-bit/96 kHz UHQ audio with Samsung phones and IP57 resistance. Comfort and call microphones were praised; fit depends on the ear, ANC is limited and battery life is average.
Galaxy Buds3 (SM-R530), silver or white. The tipped Galaxy Buds3 Pro (SM-R630) with light blades and the 2025 Buds3 FE are separate models.

MobileSyrup found the earbuds comfortable and a good fit for the reviewer’s ears. Without silicone tips they isolate less than the Pro model; with ANC on, isolation was close to a tipped earbud with ANC off, which the reviewer considered enough in most situations. The microphones handled wind and street noise well. Pinch controls on the stems caused fewer accidental pauses than earlier touch controls. Downsides: middling 5-hour battery life with ANC on, a case that cannot be pinged to find it, and earbuds that sit rotated inward in the case, so they must be turned every time you put them in.
MobileSyrup: Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 reviewIn the review pool of Best Buy Canada’s open-box listing, opinions on fit diverge: one owner says the earbuds fall out easily, another says they never fit because they felt too big and slippery (Buds FE fit the same person well), while a third says they became comfortable after an adjustment period and do not slip. Separate owners reported the battery draining very quickly, one that the red light on the case never went off, and one that the left earbud got hot and died after a week. These are individual reports; no failure rate or common cause can be drawn.
