From the manufacturer

Nothing presents Flat EQ, developed with Metropolis Studios, as a more neutral mode for listening and checking mixes. This does not guarantee neutral sound for every listener or professional monitor accuracy. Nothing

Strengths and limitations

  • Nikita Achanta liked vocal and guitar separation and controlled bass over LDAC, without fatiguing treble. She also found the fit comfortable over roughly six hours.

Review sample with Pixel 10 Pro XL and Qobuz; firmware unspecified.

  • Andrew Park instead heard harshness around 5 kHz and channel mismatch with his fit. Placement changed the measurements, so he did not recommend one universal EQ fix. This conflicts with the positive treble assessment in the other review.

Retailer Headphones.com editorial test; particular sample and placements, not a failure rate.

Headphones.com — Andrew Park: Headphone (1) Pro acoustic review
  • In Achanta’s test, ANC reduced speech but mechanical keyboard clicks and loud horns remained audible. She found the Flat EQ switch awkward to reach while wearing the headphones, and the case bulky.

Office and bus listening; not a standardised measurement of all competitors.

Tom's Guide — Nikita Achanta: Headphone (1) Pro review
  • Galaxus editor Jan Johannsen liked sound customisation and physical controls, but criticised rapid warmth under the cushions and the bulky carrying case.

Labelled as the retailer’s editorial test, not a verified buyer review.

Galaxus — Jan Johannsen: convincing headphones that are not for everyone
  • SlashGear’s Adam Doud, after a week of use, found the ANC very good but slightly behind Sony and Bose flagships, and transparency strong. The softer pads are more comfortable but isolate less than the original Headphone (1). He criticises the case for leaving the headband exposed with no cable space, the controls being concentrated on the right side and many physical controls not being reassignable.

Adam Doud’s one-week pre-launch review; no battery measurement.

Owner experiences and issues

  • One user reported intermittent left-earcup whooshing with ANC or transparency enabled, disappearing with both off. Another person in the thread reported a similar issue. Cause and prevalence are unknown; condensation was speculation, not a confirmed diagnosis.

Individual user reports; firmware unspecified. No independent service diagnosis.

  • An owner in the SoundGuys community (eager_birch_74), after 1–6 months of use, says the ANC is better than expected but clearly hears a problem in the upper mids that bothers them on some tracks, and would not buy again.

Single owner; not verified. The upper-mid observation should be read alongside the fit-dependent differences in other reviews.
