Turn the text in photos and screenshots into a Searchable PDF file with OCR.

Instead of retyping text from photos and screenshots, read it with OCR. Images become PDF pages with an invisible text layer on top, so you can search with Ctrl+F.

Select several images and they’re combined into one document, in order. You can also paste images from the clipboard (Ctrl+V). Recognition runs in your browser; your images are never uploaded.

How to use

2. Choose the document language.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get the best results?

Shoot the page straight, in good light and in focus. Move closer if the text is small. Skewed or shadowed photos produce more errors, and handwriting recognition is weak.

Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. Reading and conversion happen in your browser. The only download is the OCR engine and language data, once; your document never leaves your device, so it is safe for bank statements, contracts and ID scans.
