Word to PDF Converter

Convert DOCX and DOC documents to PDF with the layout intact.

Turning a letter, CV or assignment into a PDF before you send it makes sure it looks the same on the other end. A Word file can shift depending on the fonts and version on the reader’s computer; a PDF stays the same everywhere.

This tool opens the document with an Office engine running in your browser and saves it as a PDF. Margins, tables, images, headers and footers are kept. Legacy DOC files, LibreOffice ODT documents and RTF files convert too.

How to use

  1. Select or drag in the Word document.
  2. Press Convert to PDF.
  3. Download the PDF.

Frequently asked questions

Will the formatting change?

Layout, tables, images and text styles are kept. If the document uses a special font you don’t have, a similar font is used and line breaks may shift slightly.

Why does the first conversion take a while?

To convert documents inside your browser, the Office engine downloads and prepares on first use (about 80 MB, a minute or two depending on your connection). Later conversions finish in seconds; the engine stays in your browser cache.

Can I convert several documents at once?

Yes. Select them together; each becomes its own PDF and you can download them all as a ZIP.

Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. Conversion happens inside your browser and your document never leaves your device, so it’s safe for contracts, letters and payslips.
