PDF to Word Converter

Convert a PDF into an editable Word (DOCX) document with headings, paragraphs and tables.

When you need to edit the text of a PDF, reuse part of it in another document or update an old letter, a Word file is far easier to work with. This tool reads the PDF’s text, joins lines back into paragraphs, and detects headings from larger type and tables from aligned columns.

Words hyphenated across lines are rejoined, and two-column article layouts are read in order. Each PDF page starts on a new page in Word. The result opens in Word, Google Docs, LibreOffice and Pages.

Scanned documents go through OCR. Conversion happens in your browser; your document is never uploaded.

How to use

  1. Select the PDF file.
  2. If it’s a scan, check the OCR option and the document language.
  3. Convert and download the DOCX file.

Frequently asked questions

Is the formatting kept exactly?

Text, headings, paragraphs and tables are kept. Fonts, colours, images and exact positions are not; the goal is a clean document that’s easy to edit.

Does it work on scanned (image) PDFs?

Yes. Pages without a text layer are read with OCR automatically. English and Turkish are built in; add other languages in the language picker. Sharp, straight pages scanned at 200 DPI or more give the best results.

Why is some text garbled?

Some PDFs embed fonts with a non-standard encoding, which breaks the text layer. Set OCR to “OCR every page” and the page will be read from the image instead.

Is my document uploaded to a server?

No. Reading and conversion happen in your browser. The only download is the OCR engine and language data, once; your document never leaves your device, so it is safe for bank statements, contracts and ID scans.
