MRW to BMP Converter

Convert MRW files to BMP. Batch, free and without uploading.

This tool converts MRW files to BMP. MRW is the RAW format of Minolta cameras. It keeps unprocessed sensor data; conversion uses the camera’s white balance and colour settings.

BMP is Windows’ uncompressed bitmap format. It stores every pixel as is, so files are very large, but almost every program opens it. BMP is lossless, so nothing is lost from the image during conversion. RAW files are large, so each photo may take a few seconds.

Conversion happens inside your browser; your files are never sent to a server.

How to use

1. Drag and drop your MRW files, paste them from the clipboard, fetch one from a link, or use "Choose files".
2. Optionally set a maximum width and height.
3. Press "Convert" and download the BMP files one by one or as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Will converting to BMP reduce quality?

No. BMP is lossless; the image in your MRW is carried over as it is.

How many files can I convert at once?

There is no limit. Select hundreds of files together and download the results as one ZIP.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your MRW files are converted to BMP inside your browser and never sent to a server.
