MEF to PBM Converter

Convert MEF files to PBM. Batch, free and without uploading.

This tool converts MEF files to PBM. MEF is the RAW format of Mamiya cameras. It keeps unprocessed sensor data; conversion uses the camera’s white balance and colour settings.

Portable bitmap. PBM is lossless, so nothing is lost from the image during conversion. RAW files are large, so each photo may take a few seconds.

Conversion happens inside your browser; your files are never sent to a server.

How to use

1. Drag and drop your MEF files, paste them from the clipboard, fetch one from a link, or use "Choose files".
2. Optionally set a maximum width and height.
3. Press "Convert" and download the PBM files one by one or as a ZIP.

Frequently asked questions

Will converting to PBM reduce quality?

No. PBM is lossless; the image in your MEF is carried over as it is.

How many files can I convert at once?

There is no limit. Select hundreds of files together and download the results as one ZIP.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your MEF files are converted to PBM inside your browser and never sent to a server.
