This tool converts DXF files to OBJ. DXF is an open, text-based format for moving drawings between CAD programs; laser cutters and CNC machines use it a lot too.

Wavefront 3D model. 3D solids (ACIS 3DSOLID), 3DFACEs and polyface meshes are turned into a triangle mesh; block inserts and colours are kept. Planes, cylinders, cones, spheres and tori are exact; free-form surfaces are approximated. 2D lines and text are not part of the 3D model. OBJ uses drawing units; each colour becomes a group.
