Create ZIP and 7Z

Bundle files into one ZIP, 7Z or TAR.GZ archive, optionally protected with a password.

To attach several files to an email or send a folder as a single file, bundle them into an archive. ZIP opens on every system; 7Z usually produces a smaller file.

ZIP and 7Z archives can be protected with AES-256. With 7Z the file names are encrypted too, so without the password nobody can even see what the archive contains.

How to use

1. Select the files to add.
2. Choose the archive name, format and compression level; optionally enter a password.
3. Press "Create archive" and download it.

Frequently asked questions

ZIP or 7Z?

ZIP if the recipient must open it without installing anything. 7Z for the smallest file and strong encryption.

Why don’t photos and videos get much smaller?

Files like JPG, MP4 and PDF are already compressed. Archiving keeps them together but doesn’t change their size much.

What if I forget the password?

An AES-256 encrypted archive can’t be opened without the password. Keep it somewhere safe.
