It works the other way too: turn XLSX or XLS into CSV, JSON, ODS or an HTML table. When a workbook with several sheets becomes CSV, each sheet becomes its own file.

Frequently asked questions

Special characters in my CSV look broken. What can I do?

The tool reads both UTF-8 and Windows-1254 text. Output CSVs get a UTF-8 signature (BOM) so Excel shows accented characters correctly.

Are formulas kept?

Between XLSX, XLS and ODS, formulas and values are carried over. CSV and JSON only hold calculated values.

Can I turn JSON into Excel?

Yes. A JSON array of objects becomes a table with one row per object and one column per field.
