The Sony α7C II fits a 33 MP full-frame sensor into a compact mirrorless body. It offers 759-point autofocus with AI subject recognition, 7-stop in-body stabilisation, 10-bit 4:2:2 4K video, a vari-angle touchscreen and a single UHS-II SD slot, at 514 g with battery and card. Independent testing found focus and image quality excellent, and criticised video rolling shutter, the 4K 60p crop and a low-resolution viewfinder. Owners praise the balance of size and quality.

Sony presents the α7C II as delivering full-frame image quality and AI-processing-unit subject recognition in a light, compact body. Sony India
DPReview found subject recognition and AF tracking excellent and image quality superb. 4K 30p frame readout takes about 27.4 ms; the review reports obvious rolling-shutter skew in fast pans, more than 20% worse than rivals. Electronic-shutter readout is 67.6 ms. 4K 60p has a 1.5× crop, plus a further 1.15× with active stabilisation. Viewfinder magnification is larger than the original a7C, but 2.36 million dots is low for the price; there is no AF joystick. Battery life is about 25% lower through the viewfinder than the original a7C yet still adequate.
DPReview: Sony a7C II review: small camera, little compromiseAll rated reviews among the 20 visible on Best Buy’s body page give 5 stars. Owners coming from the A6400, A7 II, A7 III and Canon R6 praise the small, light body, autofocus, low-light performance, 33 MP cropping room and battery life. One owner who shot weddings in photo and video for eight months reports no overheating in 4K. The only reservation is that menus are still dense. No faults appear in the visible reviews; that is not a conclusion for all 92.
