Specifications

SpecificationValue
ProcessorIntel Core Ultra 9 275HX; 24 cores (8 P + 16 E), up to 5.4 GHz on P-cores

The HX series is a desktop-class laptop processor that runs at high sustained power; its Intel AI Boost NPU offers up to 13 TOPS of AI processing.

GraphicsNVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPU, 16 GB GDDR7; 175 W TGP; 2287 MHz boost

TGP is the maximum power the graphics card can draw; 175 W is the highest tier for this GPU. The GPU is soldered and cannot be upgraded. The laptop RTX 5080 is not the same as the desktop RTX 5080.

Display16-inch WQXGA (2560 × 1600) OLED, glossy, 240 Hz; DisplayHDR True Black 1000; 100% DCI-P3

Typical 500 nits SDR and 1,100 nits peak HDR; Dolby Vision, NVIDIA G-SYNC and X-Rite factory calibration. TÜV Rheinland low blue light and flicker-free certified. The glossy finish boosts contrast but can reflect in bright rooms.

The two SO-DIMM slots run in dual channel; Lenovo supports up to 64 GB on the platform.

Storage1 TB M.2 2280 PCIe Gen5 SSD (TLC)

The platform has two M.2 slots, one PCIe 5.0 x4 and one PCIe 4.0 x4, so a second SSD can be added. There is no card reader.

Strengths and limitations

  • Ultrabookreview’s unit with a Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5080 (175 W) and 32 GB DDR5-6400 drew an average of 160–170 W on the GPU in Performance mode with the laptop on a raised stand, dropping to 130–150 W flat on a desk. Balanced mode limited the GPU to about 90 W and Quiet to 55 W. In Performance mode the CPU ran around 90 °C and the GPU in the mid-70s; on a desk the area around the power button reached 60 °C. Fan noise measured 50–51 dBA in Custom, 45–46 in Performance and about 38 dBA in Balanced. The battery lasted 3–4 hours of text editing and about 3 hours of video streaming. On USB-C PD the CPU got only about 40 W. The smudge-prone matte black finish, the hinge stopping at about 145° and ports moving from the back to the sides were criticised; RAM, SSD and the Wi-Fi card can be upgraded.

Most owners praise the OLED display, keyboard and gaming performance: ADAM gets 70–90 fps on high settings in a demanding game and DARKB plays Cyberpunk with path tracing. CAMERAGUY says the CPU reaches 85 °C and the GPU 75 °C under load even on a cooling pad, and LanhongC finds it heavy with weak battery life. A non-incentivised reviewer reports a failed keyboard backlight and a stripped, snapped screw on the RAM/SSD cover, plus CPU temperatures in the mid-to-high 80s in performance mode and 1–2 hours of gaming on battery; Lenovo asked about driver updates. In reply to Doubledub’s battery comment, Lenovo suggested Quiet mode and GPU working mode settings.
