WEBP to JPG

Turn WEBP images saved from websites into JPG or PNG.

Many websites serve images as WEBP. When you right-click and save one, some programs can’t open it and some forms won’t accept it. This tool converts WEBP files to JPG, or to PNG when you need transparency.

WEBP to JPG uses your browser’s own encoder, so it is very fast and doesn’t need any extra engine.

How to use

  1. Select your WEBP files.
  2. Choose JPG or PNG. PNG is the right choice for images with a transparent background.
  3. Convert and download.

Frequently asked questions

What happens to a transparent WEBP converted to JPG?

JPG has no transparency, so transparent areas become white. Choose PNG to keep the transparency.

Are animated WEBPs converted?

For now the first frame of the animation is converted. Animated conversion will come in a later version.

Why is the JPG bigger than the WEBP?

WEBP compresses more efficiently than JPG. The same image is usually 25–35% larger as a JPG; that is normal.
