This tool converts HEIC files to BMP. HEIC (HEIF) is the photo format of iPhones and some Android phones. It is about half the size of JPG, but Windows and many websites can’t open it directly.

BMP is Windows’ uncompressed bitmap format. It stores every pixel as is, so files are very large, but almost every program opens it. BMP is lossless, so nothing is lost from the image during conversion. BMP has no transparency, so transparent areas in your HEIC are filled with white or a colour you pick.
